Aprilaire 2210 filter size

The Aprilaire 2210 is a whole-house air purifier: a painted steel cabinet that an HVAC contractor installs on or near the furnace or air handler. Aprilaire gives it a nominal filter size of 20 x 25 inches, and the cabinet itself measures 22.0625 by 6.75 by 27.375 inches.

It comes with one Aprilaire 213, a MERV 13 filter. The Aprilaire owner's manual (10007823) lists the 213 as the "Best for Healthy Home" media for the 2210 and the 210 (MERV 11) as the option for clean home and equipment protection. The 2210 product page also lists the 213CBN and 216 as compatible.

The nominal size is a label, not a measurement. Aprilaire lists the 213 at 20.6 by 26.63 by 4 inches, so it is longer than the 25 in its name. Aprilaire says its filters are engineered to the exact specifications of its air purifiers for an airtight fit and seal using its Self-Seal design, and the manual says to replace the media with genuine Aprilaire filters. Shop by the part number on the label inside the cabinet door, not by the 20x25 size alone.

On change interval, the owner's manual says Aprilaire recommends replacing the media each year, and that your contractor may recommend more or less frequent replacement depending on the home. The 213 product page also describes a 12-month filter life.
